I am planning a sabbatical, and I recommend that you travel to Zanzibar. I would Reasearch on the Internet, but I'm worried, because travel in Africa, and we are two young women alone, if everyone else can suggections, recommendations or advice on safe areas and airline accommodations to be so big.

I often go to Zanzibar, and usually meet girls (more women than men go there) on their own. It is very safe to travel, but stay away from isolated beaches at night. Smooth Beachboy new talks are a problem, even in the day. They are professionals who are still learning German or Italian.
I see students "even" philosophy is a different kind of tourism, all at the wrong end. Go to Nungwi & Kendwa who spend more than a day or 2 Stonetown.
They shared a "tourist" buses, which take over the island, about $ 5-7 run, with the schedule you set, the police in controlling strictly.On this bus with other backpackers you will find useful.
The parties on the beach to see your drinks! and others! with alcohol or drugs a person.
